How Do I Get Rid of Cellulite? Good News!! The Cellulite Battle can be won. The main remedy for fighting cellulite is detoxifying the body. Remember, cellulite is a result in a build up of fat cells and stagnate liquids in the subcutaneous layer of the skin. (See Section What is Cellulite?) Proper Lymphatic Drainage of the subcutaneous layer is of primary importance, and a detoxification process will help restore lymphatic drainage imbalances. You will notice that these detox methods will produce a pleasing added side effect, which is weight loss. Focusing on one single approach will not work! For long lasting results, our advice is to be consistent and do a combination three key detox components: diet, exercise, most importantly, MASSAGE.
DETOX Diet - This means lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods. It also means eliminating coffee, soda, smoking and alcohol from your life. A low-fat diet, high in fiber and complex carbohydrates, is important because these foods are easiest for the body to break down, use and get rid of. Sugar, starch, salt, spices and animal fats are harder for the body to eliminate. A low-fat diet reduces toxins and assists in getting rid of the toxins trapped in the tissue. Drink plenty of water, at least two liters a day, to assist your body in getting rid of unwanted toxins and waste. Following this type of diet will help shrink fat cells in the subcutaneous layer and lower layers of fat, which will cause an immediate reduction in the appearance of cellulite. As an individual’s normal lower layer of fat is reduced, this puts less pressure on the subcutaneous layer of the skin where fat cells and stagnate liquids collect. With obese people, cellulite is more visible as the greater layers of body fat put pressure on the subcutaneous layer, and cellulite is pushed outwards. Secondly, a detox diet will aid in shrinking the fat cells in the subcutaneous layer, and over time, these fat cells may become separated from each other and have enough space between them for proper lymphatic drainage to occur.
Exercise- Exercise stimulates circulation, which is of primary importance to cellulite reduction. Poor blood circulation translates to higher fluid retention and poor lymphatic drainage. With lessened circulation, veins and capillaries become weaker, restricting fluid drainage and circulation even more! Exercise is a must!!! In addition to being an effective method for weight loss, it can also burn fat. Reducing body fat will naturally reduce overall congestion and pressure in the subcutaneous layer where fat cells and liquids are trapped. This reduction in pressure will help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Exercise also improves muscle tone.
